IFMR Graduate School of Business invites Applications for MBA 2020-22.


IFMR Graduate School of Business invites application for its two-year post-graduate Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. Last date to apply for Working Professionals Round (WPR) is Feb 04, 2020 and for General Round is March 03, 2020 . IFMR GSB currently offers 2 year full time MBA program. For the past 4 years batches (Batch 2017-19) onwards IFMR GSB has been offering MBA degree under the auspices of KREA University in Finance, Marketing, IT, Operations, HR, and Strategic Management, with additional specializations in Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) & Data Sciences (Business Analytics).
“IFMR GSB now offers 22 core and approximately 55 elective courses, spanning 7 disciplines for the two-year MBA program. The Early Decision Round is dedicated to those applicants who are or were employed and have work experience of 12 to 36 months while the General Round is open to all applicants, who may or may not be employed, said Prof. Sathya Saminandan, Chairperson, Admissions and Faculty of Marketing at IFMR GSB, KREA University.

According to the Dean, IFMR Graduate School of Business, Dr. Nageswaran, “Along with pedagogical changes our curriculum has evolved with time as per industry requirements. Exclusive specializations like Data Sciences & Business Analysis, Quantitative Finance, BFSI and Business HR has been introduced to enable the MBA graduates with cutting-edge capabilities and to equip them for Industry 4.0.”
Dr. Nageswaran, who is a management graduate from IIM Ahmedabad and has done his Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, has been recently appointed as a member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister.
MBA Programme Chairperson, Prof. Nagarani M. shared similar sentiments and said, “The two years of MBA here can be a positive life transforming experience. With a legacy of fifty years in teaching, research and a strong industry connect, IFMR GSB is dedicated to creating future management leaders with a robust foundation in theory and practice.” 
The placement report for the MBA Batch 2017-19 has been impressive too. The highest annual package offered has been INR 18.8 Lac while the Average pay package is INR 8.7 Lac. Top Recruiters were CRISIL, Credit Suisse, J P Morgan Chase and Co, HSBC, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, CITI Bank, Standard Chartered and many others.
Applicants are required to take any of the following standardized entrance exams – CAT 2019 / XAT 2020 / CMAT 2020 / GMAT / GRE. The selection process shall consists of two rounds of applications for the MBA batch (2020-22) followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) for the shortlisted candidates. The Working Professionals Round is open till 3rd February 2020 while the General Round which is for all applicants employed or unemployed is open till 4th March 2020.
